The Business Start-up training is provided by Enterprise Cube http://www.enterprisecube.org/ who specialise in providing a unique programme of dynamic, practical and interactive learning to help people start their own businesses. More than 100 residents in RBWM who have graduated from the course in the past 3 years are now running their businesses.
The course is free and open to residents of the Royal Borough.
It is delivered over 12 one day workshops between April to July, and will teach delegates the fundamentals of starting their own business and will have an opportunity to apply for a start-up loan on completion, as well as information, advice and mentoring.
The course covers:
- Researching the market
- Raising money to start a business
- Starting up
- Who to ask for help
- Finance and support
- Business planning
- Managing risks
- Sales and Marketing
- Identifying and overcoming barriers that prevent business start-up
Taster Day 19th January 11 – 1
There will be a taster day session in the Town Hall in Maidenhead which will give you a bit more insight into what the course covers and help you decide if the course is suitable for you. You can meet the tutors and ask questions before deciding if the course is for you. You can submit your applications here or email them across if you cannot make the taster day.
